Trauma Informed Care
A Full 5-Phase Integration Program
Traumatic experiences can be dehumanizing, shocking or terrifying, singular or multiple compounding events over time, and often include betrayal of a trusted person or institution and a loss of safety.
Trauma can result from experiences of violence. Trauma includes physical, sexual and institutional abuse, neglect, intergenerational trauma, and experiences that induce powerlessness, fear, recurrent hopelessness, and a constant state of alert.
Trauma impacts one's spirituality and relationships with self, others, communities and environment, often resulting in recurring feelings of shame, guilt, rage, isolation, and disconnection.
The manifestation of trauma for ‘our’ children served by child welfare and mental health has become a macrosystemic experience of trauma vibrating through not only the traumatized child, but also through the child’s family, the system that is treating the child and the entire community. The outcome is a traumatized society and world.
coaching for LIFE! has been consulting with organizations, agencies and groups to develop Trauma Informed programs that provide the opportunity for parallel process healing from the organization itself, to the child whom we are all called to serve. Through Emotional Regulatory Healing, Juli Alvarado has facilitated healing work for more than 5000 parents and professionals since 2001.
Healing is possible. We would like to teach you as well and welcome you to our contingency who is on a mission for Peace, for all of ‘our’ children and families.

This is a 3 day, experiential and intensive training for up to 20 participants who have participated in a one day introduction to our paradigm. It is intended for those who will provide both direct service as well as those who supervise. It is designed for parents and professionals who know that what we are doing in most cases is simply not working and are now ready to make a change, personally and professionally.
This three day workshop will cover:
- A deep understanding of the neurobiological manifestation of trauma
- A deep understanding of self used as a conduit to healing for each participant
- Small group and didactic work in preparation for immediate integration
3 consecutive days, Intensive Training for up to 20 key participants
PHASE 3: One Year Systemic Integration
Monthly 2 hour teleconferences with Juli. These calls are clinical/case reviews and parent support calls combined. Parents and professionals from the three day intensives are on the line with Juli working together to support and guide the group. They will receive on-going education in the paradigm for full integration as well as specific case consult.
These calls will be scheduled in advance, monthly, beginning after the intensive and run for 12 months. These calls are recorded and the recording is provided to each person in the group for on- going support and future training material.
PHASE 4: An on-site follow-up -- Highly recommended
1-day Intensive Training revisit with the three day intensive training group.
This day will cover:
- Process of integration in Emotional Regulatory Healing
- Personal and professional work
- Introduction in training of the paradigm to other small groups in your agency

Along with this contract the participants will have unlimited e-mail support for the year. We have a secure, confidential member’s only portion of our site. The participants can use this site to reach out to Juli with their questions and daily support as needed.
PHASE 5: Training of Trainers
We at coaching for LIFE! realize that in order for full integration to effectively impact your outcomes long term, you will be in need of local practitioners and speakers in ERH.
The training of trainers is an experiential training that prepares your small, dedicated group to not only practice but to teach this Trauma Informed Paradigm.
This is additional three day training for those who have participated in a previous three day intensive. The added components are:
Additional personal work in mind/body/spirit trauma recovery
Teaching a group
Engaging an audience
Creating your own stories
Practice ERH in small groups and dyads with direct supervision
Teach a component of ERH with direct supervision and feedback
Each participant will receive a power point to use for a full day training, a written curriculum to teach from and an 8 minute DVD to show in each training of Juli Alvarado teaching the Neurophysiological impact of trauma on the development of regulation and attachment.
This is training for a select group of no more than 10 clinically sound, well prepared and highly invested practitioners/trainers from your agency.
We are flexible in our programming and look forward to working with your group toward Trauma Informed practice. On behalf of ‘our’ children, please, contact us for further consult.
